On the third Sunday of Advent, Rev. Cassie kicked off a new sermon series. We will spend two weeks of Advent and one week of Christmastide looking at the Christmas story from each of the synoptic gospels. We will look at how each of the gospel writers tells the story of God made flesh in the world and what that means for us.

This week Rev. Cassie’s sermon came the beginning of the Gospel according to Mark 1:1-11. Mark is a just the facts kind of guy and his gospels doesn’t start in the way that we think it might.
