Easter 5C

After returning from a week of vacation, Rev. Cassie brought us a message on the fifth Sunday of #Eastertide from the Gospel according to John entitled “Like Jesus Does.” In John 13:31-35 we find probably one of the most famous Jesus quotes of love another another as I have loved you.

If you want to listen to Rev. Cassie’s sermon you can listen to it here or subscribe to our iTunes podcast and never miss another sermon again.

Easter 3C

You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar they say. Well that is definitely something that Saul had to learn. He wasn’t very good with the honey and in fact he breathed murder and threats on people (Acts 9). But there is more to the story than just Paul learning how to be a champion.

On the third Sunday of Easter, Rev. Cassie Sexton-Riggs brought us a message from Acts 9:1-20 about the conversion of Saul to Paul and what it means for us. That the story is more than what comes to the eye at first glance.

Maybe you missed if from being on vacation or just enjoying the first day without rain here in Litchfield in what seems like weeks (event though it was only days). Want to have a chance listen to the sermon? Well guess what you are in luck! You can listen to the sermon right here

Easter 2C

On the Second Sunday of Easter, Rev. Cassie brought a message from John 20:19-31 entitled “No Doubt About It”. Where is discussed about the disciples, Thomas, the risen Christ, and how doubting maybe isn’t such a bad thing. #Easter2019

Palm Sunday 2019

On this Palm Sunday, Rev. Cassie brings a message from the Gospel according to Luke 19:28-48 and Psalm 118:1-2, 19-29 about what it means to Lift up Palms and voices in our effort to follow in the way of Jesus.

What places does God lift up today as places that our procession needs to go? Our shouts of “God save us” may seem like an odd twist, but it is the ongoing dynamic of life in God. We live at the intersection of remembrance and petition, with visions rooted in God’s promise calling us the lift up God’s ways in the world.
