Holy Week 2020

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

We find ourselves in a difficult and interesting time as we approach Holy Week this year. While we are not able to currently gather together in one place we still one would like to “gather” together as the people of God in the mist of this Holy Week. To download our devotional for Holy Week, please click here for a digital e-reader download or contact the church office to have one printed for you. (Don’t worry we have already printed and are mailing copies for our fiends who don’t have social media or email.)

This deovtional from the SALT Project gives you opportunities to pray, sing, and reflect on the meaning of this week. The Worship Team at Union Avenue Christian church hopes that you find it meaningful and will use it with your family during this time of physical distancing.

As you participate in these devotional worship opportunities, or another spiritual practice that you find helpful during Holy Week (maybe it is drawing, painting, singing, playing the piano, hunting for eggs on the Physically Distancing Easter Egg hunt, etc), we encourage you take pictures or record a video to share with us. We ask that you post them on Facebook with the #LitchfieldHolyWeek or send them directly to Rev. Cassie via text at or by email. These pictures of how we have “gathered” throughout Holy Week then will be compiled into a video for Beacon Church and Union Avenue Christian Church to share with their congregations on Easter. (Look for more information about in your churches communication plan.)

While we are truly sorry that we not able to gather together in person we look forward to a time when the body of Christ is able to be re-united in one place. Romans 8:39 reminds us “Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Blessings,

The Worship Team
